"Analysis of the public / railway passenger transportation conditions in the border triangle area"
Project timeframe: January 1, 2011 to May 31, 2011
Project partners: Transport Federation Upper-Lusatia – Lower-Silesia and the city of Bunzlau
In May 2004, the EURO-NEISSE-TICKET (ENT) was introduced by the Transport Federation Upper-Lusatia – Lower-Silesia (ZVON) in the Euroregion Neisse.
In the past 7 years the ENT has been continuously developing, however, the structuring (incl. harmonization of schedules and timetable information, multilingual information systems) hits its limits because in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic partially different initial conditions had existed (such as organizational - and funding principles for public / railway passenger transportation).
Further development of the ENT is highly dependent on whether a binding form of cooperation is found or not.
The aim of this project is to develop a detailed and complex analysis with cross-border character on the public transportation framework conditions in the area of the entire Euroregion.
Based on the results of the project, decisions on further proceedings and decisions regarding the institutionalization of the EURO-NEISSE-TICKETS are taken.
The cross-border nature of the project is reflected by the fact that the developed study and analysis encompass the area of the entire Euroregion. Moreover, the results of the projects will be made generally available and free of charge on all participating sides - the Polish, German and Czech side.
