Tanvald – Experience of pure nature at the base of the Giant Mountains

Hikers and nature lovers will enjoy their stay in the region around Tanvald: Here starts the red marked pathway of Tanvald with great views, an outing route along waterfalls, lookouts and mountain ridges of the Giant Mountains. But Tanvald is also an ideal point of departure for ski tourists, since Harrachov, which lies just 15km away from here, can be easily reached by the train. A special highlight for railway fans is the cogwheel railway between Tanvald and Harrachov, even if it operates on Czech state holidays only!
